Please reach me at tellme@asisinaz.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes. We are hiking in the high desert, and personal hydration is your responsibility. Also, I will provide you with a way to hook your yoga mat to your pack so you will be hands-free for our outing. If you contact me via email, I may have a loaner hydration pack for you (quantities are limited).
I would suggest an easy hike of short distance (2 miles or less). I am happy to share my love of hiking with you, and we were all beginners at one point in time. Please just share this information with your guide (Jessica) so she can ensure your best possible experience.
As much as I love my dog - and as much as he loves hiking, this is for humans only. So, the answer here is no. For safety reasons, and and for the sake of the wildlife and other participants, this is a hard "no".
Jessica recommends a sturdy hiking shoe or boot, or trail running shoes if you have them. Absolutely a good pair of tennis shoes (sneakers) is needed for these adventures. If you are new to the "sport" of hiking, take a few walks in your new shoes to wear them in and make sure they are comfortable to wear for a few hours at a time.
We love accommodating these types of events? Just email me (tellme@asisinaz.com) and let me know what date(s) you are looking at, how many are in your party, and what level (easy, moderate or challenging) you would like. I will do my best to accommodate your event in my schedule. The more advanced notice the better.
Absolutely! Jessica can provide yoga that is suitable for all levels. Just let her know upfront that you are new to it. Buy yourself a mat before our outing and just keep an open mind. Every body is a yoga body and we have all been a beginner at some point. Introducing yoga to someone new is a true honor.
Please feel free to bring your cell phone, just set it on *silent* out of courtesy for others. You will likely want to take photos. We are going to be in the wilderness, and for safety reasons and for personal enjoyment, hearing what is happening around us is paramount. Save your music for another time and let's keep the conversations between the people who are there with us in person.
There is a clause for a full refund of your yoga hike event in case something unexpected happens within 72 hours of your start time. That would include a snow storm, torrential downpour, act of God, etc.
